We are an authorised Center of Cambridge Examinations and a member of Bristish schools in Middle East Association. Early Years(EY1 - EY2)

At DIS we value Early Years Education and recognise the impact of a child's early experiences upon their future learing. We believe our program provides a stimulating, secure, and fun environment for children aged 3-5 years old, where they can grow in confidence and independence, acheving skills which will allow them to become life-long learners.

Primary School (year 1 – year 6)

Primary 1 (Year 1 – Year 2) and Primary 2 (Year 3 – Year 6) are the next steps in your child’s learning. This phase builds on learning from the Early Years. Our aim is that all our students will receive a broad, balanced and enjoyable learning experience that will equip each student with the skills necessary for a successful transition into Secondary School.

Secondary School (year 7 – year 13)

Year 7 to 9 students follow a programme based on the English National Curriculum adapted to our international context. In Years 10 and 11 students undertake the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations and in the final two years (Years 12 and 13), students move into the accredited International Baccalaureate Programme (IB1 and IB2). The School offers both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and IB Career-Related Programme (IBCP).

Sports

Extracurricular sports may include athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, rugby, tennis, cricket, netball, gymnastics, swimming etc. Regular training and excellent coaching develops student's skill and teamwork. Our students take great pride in representing DIS and participating in interschools sports competitions against other schools in Dubai and the Gulf region.

Arts & Performing Arts

We believe in cultivating and nurturing our students’ creative talents by giving them the opportunity to express themselves through music, drama and dance by being involved in the wide range of exciting events, ranging from talent shows to solo performance opportunities such as our lunch-time ‘concert series’ on the outdoor stage. Regular exhibitions proudly displaying our Primary and Secondary school students’ artwork provide them a platform to realize their talent and guidance to follow their passion.

Outdoor Education

Students are exposed to diverse environments to provide challenging, safe and responsible learning experiences. We have successfully conducted student expeditions and educational tours to locations such as New Zealand, Vietnam, Malawi and many more. Camps within the UAE are provided for students from year 4 to year 7. Holiday adventure programmes for our Year 3 to 8 students provide an opportunity to engage in new and exciting activities at our impressive campus and other activity centers across the UAE.

Model United Nations

MUN is a school activity where students study the fundamental principles of international relations. The knowledge and skills developed in debating, culminates in an international MUN conferences for students, where they debate real life issues such as environmental awareness and global impact molding them into future leaders.

After School Activity

With over 80 activities to choose from, our After- School Activity programme is extremely popular with students and parents alike. Activities such as Engineers To Be and the Robotics Club introduce our students to the basics of engineering and robotics and provide excellent opportunities to develop their knowledge and skill using state of the art tools under professional supervision.
